Tony hawk ps2

Shoulders are used to spin, X to ollie, and therefore, in theory, it should feel more like a Hawk game, right? Well, it's not quite the case. Square is used for flip tricks, triangle for grinds and circle for grabs. Now, the title has been ported to Sony's Playstation 2. Rated decently, the game was intriguing and different, but ultimately quite flawed. Oftentimes I'd miss flips, spins felt inaccurate, and it was almost impossible to bail. Additionally, the Wii's controls weren't perfect. That's not to say it wasn't fun, but it certainly didn't feel like a Hawk title. Being that controls were the foundation of every excellent (and not-so-excellent game), it felt less like a Hawk game, and more like an SSX-clone. The diversion was interesting, but lost much of the solid feeling we had in the first games. Tilting to turn and flip, shaking to boost and get up, this proved an innovative change in the games we've played for years. Using the Wii controller as a basis, the controls were the biggest draw. Launching with the Wii in late 2006, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam was the first game to really branch off from the Hawk formula.
